His Holiness The Dalai Lama

Many years ago I was invited to spend some time with the 14th Dalai Lama, at his home in Mcloud Ganj, which is a suburb overlooking Dharamshala, in Himichal Pradesh, India. We spent many hours chatting about all manner of things while he pruned the roses in his garden, or fixed watches in his little workshop. I remember laughing at his hilarious jokes while spying on folks down in the valley with his telescope. I felt like I was walking on air for weeks afterwards. Such a gift.
