Collection: Iran Road Trip
A few years ago I added around five thousand miles to the odometer of an old beaten up Volvo from the '60's, patched together with gaffer tape, while driving all around Iran. I sipped tea and ate fresh dates with nomads in their tents near Shiraz, dodged pesky secret police in Gom, and reveled in the ruins of Persepolis. Beyond the scary headlines of our western newspapers, Iran is an astonishing country with amazingly hospitable people who are rightly proud of their rich history.
