I love dance, and have been mesmerized by the surreal sculptural rock formations of Joshua Tree National Park for decades, so I figured why not marry the two in one fell swoop. Rocks and Dance. Also, I’ve always admired the chic all black outfit that Audrey Hepburn wore in that dancing scene in Funny Face, so I directed these wonderful dancers to wear something similar, to pay homage while emphasizing the simple beauty of their form against the rock.
